Peter Moore left the city behind in 1952 to become prt of a vanishing breed – a long distance drover.  His progress through the 195os  sees him rub shoulders with larger than life characters and their dog and horses in the treks along the outback stock routes of Western Queensland and New South Wales.  Meet the world’s worst cattle dog and the station hand, Charlie, who blows an outside toilet (and its contents) skyhigh; witness a night stampede; catch a poddy dodger in the act; take on a cranky brown snake while collecting  wild duck eggs – or shoot a few ‘roos to feed the twenty seven dogs on the team. A look at a way of life that was uniquely Australian and which is now gone.
