By the author of Auntie Mame. It’s a very non-festive Christmas day for Kerry, 10 and his sister Missy, 6 when Mum and Dad’s marriage explodes in front of both grandmothers.  The kids are farmed out while Mum and Dad go their separate ways.  Gran in Massachusetts has a very sylvan country life in which the kids create uproar all round, and Gran – Ga-ga as she prefers to be called – in the city has a small apartment overflowing with Maxl the dachshund and her many beaux. Meanwhile, Mum is being pursued by her lawyer and Dad is blindly paying court to a  man-mad, social climbing fashion magazine editor.  But all’s well that ends well when the kids take a hand in these matters.
