O’Grady, a.k.a. ‘Nino Culotta’ describes his experiences in hospital when confined therein for an intestinal¬† bug. He fills his time observations of the numerous new friends and enemas he encounters; and takes a hilarious trip down Memory Lane on his days in the Australian Forces while stationed in the Pacific, where he contracted the bug originally. These include the de-sexing of the ship’s cat in the medical bay (much to Matron’s disgust – and the cat’s) and the hysterical efforts made to educate the gentle people of the Pacific Islands in the matter of Western hygiene, among other gems.¬† Pure Aussie humour.¬† Illustrated by the infamous ‘Wep’.
