  • Book I of Farseer. Born on the wrong side of the sheets, Fitz, son of Chivalry Farseer, is a royal bastard, cast out into the world, friendless and lonely. Only his magical link with animals - the old art known as the Wit - gives him solace and companionship. But the Wit, if used too often, is a perilous magic, and one abhorred by the nobility. So when Fitz is finally adopted into the royal household, he must give up his old ways and embrace a new life of weaponry, scribing, courtly manners; and how to kill a man secretly, as he trains to become a royal assassin. Meanwhile, raiders ravage the coasts, leaving the people Forged and soulless. As Fitz grows toward manhood, he will have to face his first terrifying mission, a task that poses as much risk to himself as it does to his target - for Fitz is a threat to the throne - but he may also be the key to the future of the Kingdom.  Cover art by John Howe.
  • Book III of The Farseer trilogy.  Fitz is about to discover the truth about the Fool's prophecy. Having been resurrected from his fatal tortures in Regal's dungeons, Fitz has once more foiled the Prince's attempts to be rid of him. Now, restored to his own body, Fitz begins the painful, slow process of learning to be a man again. He must learn to cast off the wild ways of the wolf and return to the human world: a world beset ever more by the relentless Red Ships Raiders who are now free to plunder any coastal town they please. But it is a world in which Fitz finds he is utterly alone. Regal has stripped the kingdom of its riches and retired to the inland city of Tradeford. Of Verity, on his quest to find the legendary Elderlings, there has been no word; Molly, Kettricken and the Fool have all vanished. Unless Fitz can find Verity and help him in his quest, the Six Duchies will perish and there will be no safe place to live. Cover art by John Howe.
  • Book II of  The Rain Wild Chronicles. The dragon keepers and fledgling dragons are forging a passage through the uncharted and treacherous waters of the Rain Wild River, supported by the liveship Tarman, its captain Leftrin and Alise Finbok who has escaped her cruel marriage in Bingtown.  They are searching for the mythical city of Kelsingra, hoping to find a safe haven away from the society that has rejected them. When a vial of dragon blood can earn a man enough gold to last a life time, there may be some in the party who see the growing dragons as more valuable body parts than whole and alive. But it is the Rain Wilds - mysterious, unstable and ever perilous - that may provide the deadliest danger, one that will push them all to the very brink of survival. • Book I of The Tawny Man. Fifteen years have passed since the end of the Red Ship War with the terrifying Outislanders. Since then, Fitz has wandered the world accompanied only by his wolf and Wit-partner, Nighteyes, finally settling into a tiny cottage as remote from Buckkeep and the Farseers as possible. But lately the world has come crashing in again. The Witted are being persecuted because of their magical bonds with animals; and young Prince Dutiful has gone missing just before his diplomatically crucial wedding to an Outislander princess. Fitz's assignment to fetch Dutiful back in time for the ceremony seems very much like a fool's errand but the dangers ahead could signal the end of the Farseer reign. Cover art by John Howe.
