Allegedly based on a recently discovered manuscript by one William Cobbler, which reveals that Henry VIII did in fact have two more wives. Although it was first thought that Cromwell originated the story, it is now known to be definitely all Cobbler’s… from beginning to end…Of course, Henry VIII is experiencing marital problems – as usual. Having disposed of one wife, he immediately marries Marie of Normandy, only to discover that she eats garlic – and he can’t stand the smell! As he puts of consummating his nuptials and Marie threatens to tell her cousin the King of France, Henry’s troubles multiply when the beautiful and busty Bettina, daughter of the Earl of Bristol. It looks like he has a way out when it’s revealed that Marie is pregnant and it can’t possibly be his – but then the King of France arrives to visit his dear cousin – who Henry has locked in the tower for treason!  Also stars  Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Terry Scott,  Barbara Windsor and Kenneth Connor.
