Centaurus finds himself locked up in a mental institution because of his efforts to warn the solar system of a super nova that means certain doom. He escapes with a fellow patient to an underground bunker where he joins a renegade race known as the Simminoids. He travels with them to the 23rd century restoration project of New York City and beneath the abandoned city he aids the renegades in completing construction of a magnificent space ark. As the first shock waves of the super nova shake Earth, Space Ark warps into space. But they are pursued by an evil force that will chase them to the limits of time and death.
