The tale of  Judith Fear and her father, the Reverend Mottram Fear, beginning in  1936 – the last few years of peace and into the impact of the bombing of London and the response of Londoners to Hitler’s threats. Everything changed with war and would never go back to the way it had been, as Judith discovers when she trains as a nurse and experiences falling in love under the pressure of  the wartime cry of ‘live for today!’
