  • Aidan is a scribe in an Irish monastery on the far edges of remote Christendom. He is content with his life of prayer and meditation and work, even though he was robbed of his royal birthright by the savage Danes. Then he is chosen to accompany a band of monks travelling to glittering Byzantium, to make a gift of a handsome, illuminated script of  The Book of Kells to the Emperor of Christendom. On the journey he will be, in turns, a sailor and slave, a spy and a warrior, a Saracen and a Viking - and he will face the ultimate choice that any man of any age will face: the determination of his fate.

  • Book 1 of Song Of Albion. Lewis is drawn from the dreaming spires of Oxford to the misty moors and glens of Scotland, expecting nothing more than a pleasant weekend away. But the road north leads him through a mystical crossroads, and he finds himself in a place where two worlds meet in the time-between-worlds. But why had Cynetics Chairman Neviss gone to such lengths to track him down?  Orion Treet was puzzled, but there was little time to think.  Within the hour he was on board the transport, hurtling through space with an oddly assorted handful of companions. What they saw, streaking through the atmosphere was a turquoise world, blue-green with vegetation, water and sky. Treet watched the holoscreen - he was seeing a world that no-one had ever seen before; a virginal world, rich and ripe, a free, unspoiled perfect world.   • Book II of The Dragon King.  It has been ten years since Quentin helped Eskevar, the Dragon King, battle the monstrous sorcerer Nimrood.  Since that time, there has been peace in the land of Mensandor.  But everything is about to change. An urgent message summons Quentin to Castle Askelon.  The king, who is dying, wishes to name the brave young man his successor.  But first, he sends him on an unfathomable mission. What Quentin and his friend Toli, the Jher horseman, discover is not for the cowardly.  The brightening Wolf Star is an omen of impending evil that might herald the beginning of the end of mankind on earth.  It signifies Nin, a fearsome giant of a man who hopes to add Mensandor to his growing empire.  Along with his merciless warlords, they are the fulfillment of a nightmarish prophecy.
