  • Book II of Mordant's Need. Terisa Morgan needs to escape.  Gilbur is trying to kill her, Castellan Lebbick wants to torture her and she must find Geraden.  The fortress of Orison is under siege by the Alend army; the forces of Cadwal, led by Arch-Imager Vagel, are ready to strike; the traitor Eremis is preparing the ground for the enemies and King Joyse's actions are more baffling than ever.  Everything they love in the land of Mordant is about to be destroyed - unless they can prevent it with mirrors and imagery.   • The first of the five magics were set aside.  The high art of sorcery, then true magic, upon which the commerce of all Arcadia depended, then even thaumaturgy, the engineering knowledge of the world came under attack.  Jemidon traced the trouble to Melizar, the strange cold being who had seemingly appeared from nowhere.  He could alter or negate the laws that had always existed by using a mysterious metagamic, something which only he understood.  If the world was to be saved from Melizar, then only the outcast Jemidon could save it.   •  The sequel to Isle of Woman. The sage takes them from the caves of prehistoric Europe to the Holy Land in the time of King David, through the Imperial Court of 3rd century Japan and Damascus in the early days of Islam, to Genghis Khan's Asia and the fallen paradise of Easter Island, concluding with a horrific glimpse of the future in the wreckage of a world devastated by global eco-disaster.   • Book II of Landover. A year has passed since Ben Holiday bought the Magic Kingdom and claimed his throne despite the machinations of the wizard Meeks. Three loyal friends have come to his aid: the incompetent Court Wizard Questor Thews; the Court Scribe, Abernathy (a talking dog) and the lovely Willow who is sometimes a tree. Ben now dreams of a former partner, Miles, in grave trouble. Questor also dreams - of finding the lost books of magic; and Willow meets, in her sleep, a black unicorn with a gold bridle. But Ben, on his return to Earth, finds Miles in the best of spirits. He returns to Landover - and no-one seems to know him. Questor's magic books are damaged, and Willow, who has gone to see her mother about the unicorn, has not yet come back.  Meeks is gloating - he sent the dreams and now he has the medallion that gives the King the power to summon the Paladin, that mysterious knight-protect. Not only that, Meeks has assumed Ben's appearance and Ben looks like a vagrant.  Ben is outcast, recognised only by his enemies and unable to seek help from the Paladin.  The only thing that might help is the prism cat- whatever that is!   • Book V of The Trillium Saga. Sisters Haramis, Anigel and Kadiya thought they had rid the world of evil, that the dark sorcerer Orogastus was banished to the Chasm where he would surely die. But after many years, Orogastus is stirring once more and the omens do not look good. Anigel's son,  Prince Tolivar, has unearthed the powerful three-headed talisman and has plans of his own; Kadiya's talisman has lost its power; and the Archimage of the Sea is imprisoned in a slab of blue ice - apparently the work of the Vanished Ones.
