In 1978 Pennsylvania, nerdy high school outcast Arnie Cunningham falls in love with a beat-up, rusted red-and-white 1958 Plymouth Fury. The car belongs to the bitter previous owner, Roland D. LeBay. Arnie's best friend, Dennis Guilder, senses bad energy from the vehicle, but Arnie's in love and buys it anyway. He  fixes up the car at a local garage and as Christine begins to come to life, his acne clears and his confidence grows... but his personality turns dark and aggressive. Christine is not just a car; she is alive. She drives herself and heals her own damage. Arnie begins dating a new girl named Leigh, but when school bullies vandalise and smash the car, Christine hits to road bent on revenge...Cover art by Gerry Grace.
