The Deceiver: Frederick Forsyth

Sam McCready is The Deceiver: the Secret Intelligence Service's most unorthodox and valued operative. After seven years in charge of the Dee-Dee Desk (Deception, Disinformation and Psychological Ops) he's made some enemies. The end of the Cold War bring changes and rather than accept a non-job he chooses to have his fate decided at a special hearing by the DEputy Chief of SIS.
