In 1932, Harvey Cheyne Jr, the spoiled son of a American railway tycoon, is aboard a luxury liner en route England and a prestigious boarding school. Harvey falls overboard - but his troubles are only just starting. He's picked up by the crew of the fishing schooner We're Here off the Grand Banks of Newfoundland. They refuse to take him to port immediately and he can't convince them of his wealth, so Harvey is now going to work for his bread - but he will have a lot of adventures over a season of fishing and learn oneor two valuable lessons along the way.
