Ben, a dentist, and Susan, the worst cook in the world, are loving, caring parents who just have a problem showing it. Ben's confused as to how much money and time his kids demand from him and Susan juggles motherhood, a career and a husband and certainly doesn't have enough time for everything, including improving her cooking skills. Nick is always concocting a new hare-brained scheme for his own amusement, Janey - like any normal teenager - thinks her parents are seriously embarrassing and Michael just buries his head in his books to escape the noise!
