Mason Storm records a meeting between the mob and a corrupt politician, Senator Vernon Trent. Corrupt cops and mob hitmen raid Storm's home, murdering his wife and leaving Mason critically wounded with shotgun blasts. Believed dead by his enemies, Storm is hidden away under a "John Doe" status in a hospital and remains in a deep coma for seven years. When he emerges from his coma, Nurse Andy Stewart gets him away and hides him when it becomes evident Trent is still looking for Storm.  She helps recover his muscle strength and rehabilitate after years of immobility.  then they team up, tracking down the conspirators one by one...
