Season 1: Former Senator Selina Meyer was a charismatic leader and rising star in her party with her eye on the White House - then she becomes Vice President! Here is her whirlwind day to day existence as she juggles a busy public schedule with a demanding private life, extinguishes political fires and defends the President's interests, no matter how dysfunctional her relationship with the President may be. Season 2: As midterm elections loom, VP Meyer is scoring higher ratings than the President in several popularity polls, which she hopes will boost her influence with the chief executive. But despite her best intentions, even the most banal actions can set off unexpected and often disastrous consequences. Season 3: Following the revelation that the President will not seek re-election, the Veep begins eyeing a promotion. As all America watches her and her team, Selina and her staff head off to Detroit and Silicon Valley, go on a drug bust with the Maryland Coastguard and fly to London to confer with heads of state. Season 4: While Selina has ascended to the highest position in the land, she must still run for election and together with her staff, she grapples with how to appear 'presidential' while also deciding who will make the best running mate. Season 5: Selina finds herself in the middle of a tie with the Electoral Colleges and with her presidency on the line she and her staff continue with their D.C. mission to make her seem 'presidential' (even though she IS the president!). She also has to fend off the ambitions of her vice presidential running mate who, through an obscure constitutional procedure, could end up being the President. Season 6: Former VP and one-time President Selina Meyer is out of office for the first time in years after her loss in a Senate vote to resolve an Electoral College tie. Forging ahead to secure her legacy and her place in the world as many of her staff engage in endeavours of their own, Selina and her band of misfits attempt to make their mark while navigating the political landscape of Washington and beyond. Season 7 - The Final Season: Selina's back on the campaign trail for a second crack at the White House. As she woos uber-wealthy donors while navigating threats from primary challengers , including aide-turned-Congressman Jonah Ryan, her band of misfits (minus the banished Mike) misbehaves - as usual!
