In a post-apocalyptic zombie-infested world, a resourceful teen, Abigail and her protector Cassius - a former police officer -  facing relentless dangers and living by their wits and survival skills. They plan to go to an island off the American coast but on their way they encounter a pregnant woman and her husband who are on their way to a boat colony.
