DVD: The Innocents: Deborah Kerr; Michael Redgrave

The inexperienced Miss Giddens is employed as a governess by a wealthy man for his orphaned niece and nephew. But she soon grows disturbed by the children's occasional odd behaviours and secretiveness, and is bothered by disembodied voices and apparitions of a man and woman who are identified by the housekeeper as the previous governess and her employer's valet - both deceased. It also appears that the spirits of the two are preparing to take over the children in her care, to resume the illicit relationship they had enjoyed while alive....
