Messenger is a man in the middle of a mystery. With his suspicions raised by a series of gruesome, seemingly unrelated deaths, Messenger asks his friend, retired MI5 operative Gethryn to investigate a secret list bearing the names of the deceased. When Messenger himself is killed, it transpires that a sinister villain is using a variety of disguises to work his way through the list. It's now up to Gethryn to uncover the deadly conspiracy before it's too late. Also starring George C. Scott, Robert Mitchum, Burt Lancaster, Dana Winter and Gladys Cooper.
