American dancer Jerry Travers travels to London and falls for Dale Tremont. Misunderstandings ensue when Dale mistakenly assumes Jerry is her friend’s married husband, Horace. The screwball romance takes them to Venice, featuring the iconic dance number "Cheek to Cheek".
