The British submarine Sea Tiger docks after a long voyage and the crew are given a week's leave. But their arrangements are abruptly cancelled when they are recalled to their sub and instructed to find and destroy a Nazi battleship, the Brandenburg. Crossing the North Sea, the submarine picks up three shot-down Luftwaffe pilots from a rescue buoy who tell them where to find the Brandenburg. Once spotted, the Sea Tiger fires off its torpedoes then dives, jettisoning some oil and debris to deceive the Germans into believing their retaliatory fire has sunk the British submarine - but did they succeed in sinking the Brandbenburg?
