Earthsearch: James Follett

The crew of the Challenger had been born on their starship. They had never set foot on a planet, yet the Earth was their spiritual home. For years they studied holograms and videos of Earth and dreamed of the time when their ship would return so they could walk under the blue skies, feel warm summer breezes on their faces and cool green grass beneath their feet. And now the Earth had vanished from the solar system. From clue discovered on the abandoned colonies of other planets they learnt that the people of Earth had taken their planet in search of a new sun - one that was not liable to become a super nova.
