Eleven Minutes: Paulo Coelho

Maria is a young girl from a Brazilian village. Her first innocent brushes with love are heart breaking. She becomes convinced she will never find true love, believing that it is a terrible thing that causes suffering. A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune, but ends up working as a prostitute. She drifts further away from love, yet is fascinated with sex. Eventually, her despairing view of love is put to the test by a handsome young painter. She has to choose between sexual pleasure for its own sake and risking all to find the inner light of sacred sex and love.
