Most important of all he was the voice of the music scene in all its newness and vitality, as Goldstein discovered it - from The Shangri-Las, The Rolling Stones and The Lovin' Spoonful to Mama Cass, Ravi Shankar, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, The Jefferson Airplane and The Beatles.
