The Good Looking Women: Ruth Park

The story of Ma, Pa and their four ill-assorted daughters - Carrie, a successful business woman whose selfishness and fear of childbirth had destroyed her marriage; Elva, once pretty - twelve years of marriage had brought eight children and a life of misery; Ivy, now Sister Polycarp, graceful and upright in her nun's habit but in reality, stiff, cold and secretive; and Geraldine, the youngest, afraid of life and claiming she had seen a holy vision.
