Rear Window: When professional  photographer, L.B. "Jeff" Jefferies  is confined to his apartment  with a broken leg, he begins watching his neighbors; a dancer, a songwriter, a spinster, and a salesman, Lars Thorwald, who has a bedridden wife.  He becomes convinced that  Thorwald has murdered his wife, especially after he observes suspicious behavior and the wife's subsequent disappearance. Jeff enlists the help of his nurse, Stella   and his girlfriend, Lisa  to prove his suspicions. James Stewart, Grace Kelly and Thelma Ritter.  The Birds: Wealthy San Francisco socialite Melanie Daniels is pranked by lawyer Mitch Brenner in a pet shop, so she impishly decides to return the joke and follows him to his home, carrying a gift of two love-birds in a cage. But when she arrives in Bodega Bay, wild birds begin to act strangely by attacking people, first randomly and then in co-ordinated and more ferocious attacks, trapping townspeople in their homes  - and no-one knows why the birds are doing this...Stars Tippi Hedron, Rod Taylor and Jessica Tandy.  Psycho:  Marion Crane is on the run with $40,000 stolen from her boss, when a storm decides her to stop at the Bates Motel.
