Award-winning children's author Willy Patrick seems to be having a nervous breakdown. She keeps hearing the voice of her murdered daughter calling for help. Then she discovers that her mysterious fiance may have been responsible for the deaths of her first husband and daughter. After fleeing the house they are renovating, she runs into Tim Underhill, another author haunted by the deaths of loved ones.
