Raising Cain: Gallatin Warfield

In the Maryland mountain valley where attorney Gardner Lawson practises, a mysterious religious cult arrives and moves into an abandoned granite quarry. Known as CAIN (Church of the Ark Incorporated), this fanatical group attracts attention after an elderly black man dies in unusual circumstances. The dead man's son in police Detective Joseph Brown, who's convinced that CAIN is responsible and begins secret investigations. When the CAIN leader is also found dead, 'Brownie' becomes the prime suspect for murder. Lawson resigns as State's Attorney in order to conduct his close friend's defence. The enquiries and a high tension trial force many to confront their prejudices and hidden secrets come from the shadows.
