  • Craggy Island, off the remote coast of Ireland is the home of Father Ted Crilly, Father Dougal McGuire  and Father Jack Hackett, all dishonourably exiled to the island by Bishop Leonard Brennan for various reasons...an unauthorised trip to Las Vegas...the Blackpool incident...and a wedding at Athlone that involved some drunkeness...   They live chaotically together in the parochial house with their housekeeper Mrs Doyle, who has a tea fixation. There's always something to deal with - matters of the church; but there's also Father Ted's mad schemes to either resolve a parish situation or how to best Father Ted's enemy, Father Dick Byrne of the nearby Rugged Island parish. Series 1: Good Luck Father Ted:  A TV interview leads Father Ted to extreme lengths to ensure the other clergy members   do not interrupt his moment in the spotlight. Meanwhile Craggy Island hosts a fun fair to which Dougal is desperate to go. Ted takes the film crew to the fair, leading to a massive mess. Entertaining Father Stone: Ted and Dougal have to host the annual visit of the inoffensive but unbearably boring  Father Stone. But when  Ted prays for Father Stone to be taken away, he's wracked with guilt when Father Stone is struck by lightning. The Passion Of St. Tibulus: Bishop Leonard Brennan arrives for an official visit with the news that a blasphemous film, condemned by the Pope and banned everywhere, is being shown in Craggy Island thanks to a loophole. He orders the priests to make a stand and protest at the cinema, but his determination brings out some secrets he'd prefer were kept secret. Competition Time: Ted is determined to beat arch-nemesis Father Dick Byrne in  the annual 'All Priests Stars in Their Eyes Lookalike Competition' and proudly displays his costume - only to find that Douglas and Jack have the exact same costume. And God Created Woman: Father Ted meets novelist Polly Clarke at the book signing for her latest novel Bejewelled with Kisses. When he finds out she's renting a cottage across the island and she invites him for ore book chat, Ted is falling for her. Meanwhile, Dougal, Mrs Doyle and Father Jack plot to disrupt Ted's romance plans. Grant Unto Him Eternal Rest: Father Ted is unconcerned when he discovers Jack has drunk a bottle of floor polish, but Sister Monica realises that a lack of pulse and no breathing can only that Father Jack is dead. However, Jack has left some money in his will for Ted and Dougal, but will he stay dead enough for them to get it? Series 2: Hell:  Ted, Dougal and Jack take their annual holiday and encounter the annoying hyperactive Father Furlong. Think Fast, Father Ted: Can Ted just hold a raffle without getting into trouble? Tentacles Of Doom: The nearby Holy Stone of Clonrichert is being upgraded to a class two relic by the Vatican. Three bishops are being sent to perform the ceremony and will be staying in the parochial house so Ted needs Dougla and Jack to be on their very best behaviour. The Old Grey Whistle Theft: Dougal starts hanging around with a rebellious priest, Father Damien 'Damo' Lennon. Meanwhile the overzealous park groundskepper's valuable whistle is stolen. A Song For Europe: Ted is goaded by Father Dick Byrne into attempting to write a song for the Eurosong contest Despite Ted's song having only one note, Ireland's fear of winning the contest again (and therefore having to host and fund the following year's contest) plays into Ted and Dougal's hands. The Plague: The parochial house is infested by rabbits - just as the very rabbit-phobic Bishop Brennan plans a visit. Rock A Hula Ted: A female singer visits the island just when Ted is judging the annual Lovely Girls competition. Cigarettes And Alcohol And Rollerblading: In a game of one-upmanship with Father Dick Byrne, Ted decides that Father Jack will give up alcohol, Dougal will give up rollerblading and Ted will give up smoking for Lent. Finding it difficult to keep their vows they enlist the help of Sister Assumpta. But her methods are not what they had in mind. New Jack City: Jack contracts 'hairy hands syndrome' and gets sent to St. Clabbert's hospital. Unfortunately his temporary replacement, the obnoxious, rude and destructive Father Fintan Stack is also avid fan of jungle music which he plays at 3 a.m.! Flight Into Terror: A flight back from a pilgrimage runs out of fuel and there are only two parachutes. Meanwhile Jack discovers a supply of alcohol in the luggage compartment of the plane. Only one man can save the passengers... A Christmassy Ted: Ted's quick thinking whilst lost in a department store's lingerie department earns him the coveted Golden Cleric award. So why doesn't he feel happy? Mrs Doyle's attempts to hang up the Christmas decorations become undone around her...and she's also none too pleased at her Christmas present. Meanwhile, an "old friend" of Ted decides the time is ripe for a visit. Series 3: Are You Right There, Father Ted?  Ted's "Chinaman" impression goes down badly with Craggy Island's Chinese community and in an attempt to prove he isn't a racist, Ted decides to hold a presentation on multiculturalism in Craggy Island to the Chinese. As usual, Ted's efforts are blighted by sheer bad luck. Chirpy Burpy Cheap Sheep: Ted makes a large bet on the King of the Sheep competition. Unfortunately, Chris, his chosen sheep, has heard rumours about a sheep-eating beast and isn't feeling at all himself. Speed 3: When Ted and Dougal expose philandering milkman Pat Mustard, he takes revenge on his replacement, Dougal, by putting a bomb on the milk float. If Dougal's speed drops below 4 mph, the bomb will explode, taking Dougal with it... The Mainland: When Ted, Dougal, Jack and Mrs Doyle go on a trip to the mainland,  Ted and Dougal encounter Victor Mildrew and get lost in the caves; Jack gets his replacement glasses (stolen by a crow) which then get stolen by a crow; and Mrs Doyle meets up with a friend for tea and then get into a fight for the honour of paying the bill.   Escape From Victory: Ted takes great steps to ensure he wins a bet with Father Dick Byrne on the outcome of the All-Priests Over-75's Five-a-Side Football Championship. Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse: Following directly from the previous episode. Exposed as a cheat and with this episode's title as his forfeit, a terrified Ted tries to draw upon his courage to complete the deed. Night Of The Nearly Dead: When  Mrs. Doyle wins a poetry competition, young TV presenter Eoin McLove pays a visit to Craggy Island, causing excitement for the island's aging females, who besiege the Parochial House.
